Coffee liqueur is a sweet and creamy liqueur made by the infusion of coffee in alcohol.
It is a sweet and very fragrant liqueur, great after a good meal.
The preparation of this liqueur is as follow:
Melt 300 grams of sugar in 100 ml of water.
Prepare 200 ml of coffee and add it to 200 ml of alcohol.
Mix the latter to the sugar syrup and keep in an airtight container.
Leave it for 15 days. Shake occasionally and then store in bottles.
Coffee liqueur can be enjoyed after meals with ice, or added to ice cream. It is often used as an ingredient in typical recipes of Puglia.
