Ambrosia of oranges is a typical Apulian liqueur and a Traditional Agricultural Food Product (PAT) of Puglia region.
It is a liqueur with very intense aroma thanks to the excellent quality of the oranges used. They are grown in the Gargano area, mainly in the territory of Rodi Garganico.
For the preparation of Ambrosia of oranges follow these steps:
Extract the essences of some oranges in hot alcohol and filter.
Prepare syrup by combining 600 grams of sugar with 600 ml of water and let it cool down.
Add the alcohol to the syrup and allow to rest for at least 20 days. Then make a second filtration and store in bottles.
Ambrosia is a great orange liqueur to taste with dessert or after an excellent lunch.
