Malvasia Nera di Lecce

Malvasia Nera di Lecce

Grape type: Black

Malvasia Nera di Lecce is similar to Malvasia Nera di Brindisi. It is in fact a red grape vine, that produces ruby red coloured wines with a pleasant aroma, a velvety taste, but do not have, compared to those made with Malvasia di Brindisi, aromatic notes.

This grape vine has a medium conical and elongated bunch. The grapes are spherical in shape with a thin blue skin.

Malvasia Nera di Lecce is typically mixed with Negroamaro grapevine, producing wines richer in alcohol content and with a full-bodied flavour.
