Terlizzi, once called Turricum, is a small country town where cultivation of flowers and work of ceramics are the main occupations.
Of the ancient walls, which once surrounded the town, only a tower is left and located in Piazza Cavour. Also the ancient Cathedral of the XIII century was destroyed, all that remains is the portal now standing on the church of San Rosario.
In the surrounding area there is the interesting sanctuary of Hamlet of Sovereto built in the XII century.
