The town of Copertino is famous for its imposing castle, one of the biggest and best preserved in Puglia. The structure originally belonged to the Counts d'Enghein, XIV century, and from 1498, it was held in fee by the Cariota family who built the castle that we see today. It is made up on a trapezoidal bastions with spread bulwarks with a beautiful portal decorated in the Renaissance style.
Among other interesting places in Copertino the Collegiate Church, founded in 1088, the Church of San Giuseppe, built the XVIII century on an octagonal plan with a curvilinear facade.
