The town of Cerignola is located on the ancient Trojan Way, a road that connected Rome to Brindisi. The old centre of Cerignola has some interesting churches and palaces.
Among these the Cathedral, designed in Tuscan style with a cupola 80 metres tall and, inside, a XII century Byzantine icon depicting the Madonna di Ripalta, and the Manfredi palace.
