IGT - Protected Geographical Indication

The name of Indicazione Geografica Tipica (Protected Geographical Indication) is given to those wines produced with at least 85% of grape vines coming from the geographical area of production. The label IGT must indicate the territory of origin, the grape variety, year of production and colour.
The Protected Geographical Indication corresponds to a lowest level of designation of origin compared to the DOP and the DOCG.
