IGP - Protected Geographical Indication

The Indicazione Geografica Protetta (Protected Geographical Indication - PGI) brand indicates a product originating in a region or a country whose qualities and characteristics can be attributed to that geographical origin, and at least one stage of production, processing and preparation must take place in the defined area.
Therefore, the IGP does not require that the production takes place on-site, but only that the product matches the specified requirements.
