The park
The Protected oasis of Cillarese and the Parco del Cillarese is an artificial reserve created in 1980 and located on the outskirts of Brindisi.
The area is a winter place and nesting bird area for species such as ferruginous duck, egret, gray heron, crane and white stork.
Here can be found amphibians such as frogs, toads, salamanders and reptiles like the turtle and the grass snake. Mammals typical of the area include hares, foxes, wild pigs and hedgehogs.
