Nature reserve of Monte Barone
The park
The Nature reserve of Monte Barone is located on the south side of the Gargano promontory, near the Zagare bay. It consists of a forest of Aleppo pine trees typical of the Gargano promontory, oak trees and Mediterranean vegetation.
Wild animals living in this area include hares, foxes, badgers, doves blackbirds and wood pigeons.
The Nature reserve of Monte Barone is part of the Gargano national park.
