Lido Marini

Lido Marini is located along the Ionian coast of the Salento near the town of Ugento. It is a stretch of coastline that extends for about 2 km. It consists, for the most part, of a long white beach with a clear sea and shallow waters. Along this beach there are various organized lidos. Lido Marini faces the so called 'Secche di Ugento', an area of a few square km of a particularly low seabed. Since the time of the Romans these shallow water have created problems for navigation, often leading to destruction of ships. Lido Marini can be reached frorm the SP91 that runs along the south part of the Ionian side of the Salento.

Torre Mozza

Torre Mozza is located along the Ionian coast of Salento in Puglia, near the town of Ugento. The place is named Mozza after the sixteenth-century tower partially collapsed over the years and for this reason called 'mozza'. The coast of Torre Mozza is formed by a long stretch of white sandy beach with a typical Mediterranean vegetation and a crystal clear sea. This stretch of coast is rich in channels and brackish basins. Torre Mozza can be reached by using the SP91 that runs along the coast Ionian coast of Salento.

Marina di Torre San Giovanni

Torre San Giovanni is a coastal town located on the Ionian side of the Salento in Puglia, near Ugento. The place is characterised by a white sandy beach and a sea rich in marine flora and fauna of particular interest. At the foot of the Torre San Giovanni can still be seen the remains of ancient walls dating back to the Messapian period, around 500 B.C. These remains suggest that this place was important since the time of the Messapian town of Ozan, the current Ugento. The tower is located on a small promontory jutting into the sea, which divides the coast of Marina di San Giovanni in two parts. To the north extends the rocky part, pretty low almost everywhere, while in the south after the port, begins a sandy long beach. Marina di Torre San Giovanni can be reached from the town of Ugento by using the SP65 or from the south using the SP91 and from the north using the SP90 or the SP88 that runs along the Ionian coast.

Posto Rosso

Posto Rosso is located along the Ionian coast of Salento in Puglia, near the town of Ugento. It is characterized by a low rocky coast. South of Posto Rosso is the Nature Protected Area of Litorale di Ugento, a marine protected area. The sea offers here a seabed of particular beauty for anyone interested in diving. Posto Rosso can be reached by using the SP88 that runs along the Ionian coast of Salento.

Capilungo

Capilungo is located near the town of Ugento in the Salento area of Puglia and on the Ionian coast. It is a coastal area with a small village, home to tourists during the summer. The coast is mostly rocky with low reefs. Capilungo can be reached using the SP88 that runs along the Ionian coast of Salento.
