This lovely secluded Trullo with its huge pool is set in 3 acres of ancient olive. With fig and almond trees, with scents of lavender, mimosa, citrus and wild herbs. There are delightful countryside views over the vallee d'Itria and a real feeling of privacy and tranquillity despite being only 4 km from the ancient centre of Ceglie Messapica. It is within easy reach of Ostuni, Cisternino, Locorotondo and Martina Franca.
The private 14x7m salt water pool is surrounded by a large stone terrace with sun loungers, umbrellas, with hammocks close by under the trees. Underwater pool lighting and beautifully floodlit trees invite the continuance of alfresco life late into the warm evenings.
A large outdoor deck overlooks the pool area, with solid wooden loungers, large dining table with huge umbrella, offering plenty of sun, shade and glorious sunsets. A roof terrace gives spectacular views.
Let as a single accomodation, it is comprised of 3 small adjacent properties with separate entrances, each with their own bathroom, fridge and kettle/espresso. The historic old stone Trullo has a double bed, 2 small single or day beds in its alcove the Lamia has a circular double bed and 2 single sofa beds, the wooden Casetta/pool house has a double sofabed. Our clients feedback
Enjoyed the most laid back holiday house: It was the second time we stayed at Adeles trullo. Having enjoyed it so much the first time, we rebooked early this year. The description is very accurate. What one cannot explain is the total relaxed atmosphere, from the moment of arrival. It's the whole layout of the property, the furnishings, the fully equipped kitchen and the many homely items that make you feel at home at once. A very big bonus is the large swimming pool with salted water, which is much nicer than water with chloride. With 22-23 degrees the water temperature is very nicely cooling when it is hot. The property is very big and full of fruits and nuts: nice to explore the garden and find all these treasures, which you may pick and eat. Francesco and Maria take good care of the property and are very nice people. Very helpful too. As this time we had to visit a doctor, Francesco was able to let it be dealt with very quickly as he accompanied us to the doctor. We flew to Bari, from there it is a one and half hour drive to the house. Very nice and truly Italian are the local markets in Martina France and Locorotondo. in September there are hardly any foreigners, so we enjoyed being surrounded by the Italian chit chat. Not to forget the excellent cappucinos in the small coffee bars. In the villages one is forced to dig up all the Italian words you very learned, because hardly anyone speaks English.
We have been one lucky family to have spent one week in Adele's & Jerome Trulio. It's name summarises what you will find; peace, relax and a lovely country landscape. If you are lucky, ou can see foxes in the garden when you arrive late in the evening or listen every night to an owl who will share the property with you during your stay. You hardly need to take anything with you as the Trulio is very well equiped and everything is working and available for usage. You can even practice making pizzas at it's owen, which is great fun and your kids will love it. If you ever need anything, Francesco is always reachable and available to help you. He is much responsible for the good conditions of the Trulio and that you spend a nice stay. I hope that you will enjoy it as much as we did.
Hi Adele and Jerry, We had a fabulous time staying at the Trullo. it was very kind of you to leave the fizz for us to celebrate with, Thank you. We traveled by car from the airport - the directions were great and very precise. Francesco and Maria were wonderful & between the fabulous user guide from yourselves and their hints and tips we were set. We spent many days relaxing at the pool, Scott loved the hammock- insists he's hooking one up in our hall! The decking was a beautiful place to relax in the evenings we put the pool and tree lights on and enjoyed lots of red wine - truly relaxing. We often sat on the roof of the Lamia to watch the sunset too. We enjoyed shopping at the farm at the bottom of the road it was very handy. They have a little dog on the farm that loves visitors- he followed us back a few times however Splodge the cat gave him a run for his money so he never stayed! The kitchen was great we enjoyed cooking lots of meals and even had a bbq one night. Everything was so clean and fresh and we loved being able to open all the widows, the mesh on them was great to keep the bugs out. The wildlife in the garden was amazing to watch between the hoards of brightly coloured butterflies, some lizards and even every so often tiny birds would skim the water on the pool- which we never managed to capture on video as the were incredibly fast! Ceglie Messapica was a great place to visit we also traveled to the market in Ostuni and visited Cisternino for some lunch. The location was ideal and we loved that it was rural and it tested our Italian. We really had a fantastic time and thank you both and Francesco and Maria for the hospitality. Scott and I also chatted about how we were glad that we found you and the Trullo and that we felt like we were dealing with 'real people' and that it wasn't a honeymoon that was organised by a travel agent with the pressures of breakfast at a set time and being talked into anything we didn't want. we enjoyed the freedom of doing our own thing and making our own meals and taking a packed lunch our on a road trip! we would definitively recommend the Trullo for a relaxed and rural trip in such a spectacular setting. Everything more than met our expectations. Many thanks again.
